What's his life story? (you don't have to read this)

Having had great time taking apart electronics as a child, Alex began his Digital Art career in High School, when he was tasked with creating the high school yearbook for a 19th century farming school that had little to no use for technology, named Hawthorne Valley High School. Armed with only his laptop, he created that school's first digitally generated yearbook, and introduced the school to the ability to use technology for creative good. Upon seeing The Matrix at the age of 13, and deciding that visual effects was his calling, Alex began feverishly trying to understand Autodesk Maya, and Adobe Photoshop, mostly exploring the programs, seeing as he had little to no access to any kind of digital arts classes. His fascination with the combination of arts and computer science led him to become self taught in flash and build an interactive website for his Senior Thesis, again progressing his digital career forward in an environment slightly out of touch with the digital revolution, but showing that computers and art do not have to be separate.

Upon his graduation from Hawthorne Valley High School he decided to attend an art school, Otis College of Art and Design, across the country, in order to get closer to the digital art movement sweeping the nation's box offices and television sets. After acceptance into Otis College Art of Design on a scholarship, he began his learning in the field of Digital Media.

Hungry to create, he immediately found work out of college at a brand new studio in Culver City called Monkeyhead. He began working full time as an Animator, working his way up to become a technical director and senior Animator/Compositor/Modeler( and Anything-that-needed-to-be-done-er) over the course of three years. Working on projects for clients like ABC, Dinsey, Chiat/Day, HBO, and he watched the studio grow from small to medium size as he grew with the company, and after three years, he decided to part ways to try his hand as a freelancer.
